This tylose or CMC (Carboxyl Methyl Cellulose) powder by Over The Top is a binding agent that can be added to fondant to create gum paste and to help it dry hard. Tylose can also be added to gum paste to make it easier to work with. Can be used in place of gum tragacanth. Tylose powder can also be mixed with warm water to create edible glue.
Use 1-2 teaspoons of tylose if you live in a dry area and 3 teaspoons if you live in a humid area for 453g of fondant. Comes in a 55g bottle.
Handy Tips
Mix Tylose Powder to fondant only when you are going to use it.
Leave decorations overnight to let them completely set.
